PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

Project Summary

As part of Leading Bank’s digital transformation strategy, the Staff Assist and Self Assist applications support internal users and enhance customer self-service across branches and digital platforms. These systems are critical to business operations and required a stable and scalable QA automation approach to ensure smooth production releases. However, the existing automation framework posed several challenges.

Challenges

  • Existing Provar automation scripts were flaky and frequently failed during execution

  • The automation framework lacked clarity, standardization, and maintainability

  • QA Center of Excellence (COE) standards were not followed

  • High maintenance costs and unreliable test results reduced confidence in automation

  • Environment-specific dependencies restricted script execution across SIT and UAT

  • Manual validation was needed for critical regression before releases

Solution Delivered

✅ Framework Redevelopment with POM Design

  • Rebuilt the automation framework from scratch using Page Object Model (POM) principles
  • Created a robust, modular, and reusable framework that supports long-term scalability
  • Ensured full environment independence for execution across SIT and UAT

✅ Copado Integration & CI/CD Enablement

  • Migrated from Provar to Copado Robotic Testing for better stability and DevOps alignment
  • Integrated automation into Copado deployment pipelines for post-deployment test runs
  • Used Azure repositories for version control and collaborative maintenance

✅ Test Optimization and Coverage Expansion

  • Re-automated all regression test cases for Staff Assist and Self Assist modules
  • Validated end-to-end flows, increasing test confidence for every release
  • Ensured QA COE compliance with consistent design, naming, and execution strategies

Impact & Value Delivered

  • Significant reduction in execution time with optimized logic and parallel test runs
  • Increased stability and accuracy by minimizing flakiness and false failures
  • Early defect detection reduced production issues by over 40%
  • Fully integrated CI/CD automation through Copado pipelines for seamless release testing
  • Framework adopted as a reference model for Salesforce-based automation across the bank

Client Feedback

“Migrating our automation from Provar to Copado has been a game-changer. The new framework is fast, reliable, and standardized. We’re seeing fewer defects in production and faster turnaround times on testing — which aligns perfectly with our release goals.“
